The Just Believe Educational Center's Nurse Aide Training Program is accredited by the Pennsylvania State Department of Education and is ideal for those individuals interested in a career in the healthcare field. This 120 hour program will prepare students to participate in the National Nurse Assistant Assessment Program Examination.
Under the direct instruction and supervision of JBEC Instructors, students will participate in 34 classroom hours, 31 practice laboratory hours and 55 clinical hours. During classroom time, students will participate in lectures, written and oral assessments of their progress. Laboratory hours will allow students to practice the skills that they have learned during classroom time and clinical experience will allow students to provide 1:1 hands on care to residents in long term care facilities. During all phases of the training program, students are expected to maintain a professional appearance, as appropriate to a healthcare setting.
Applicants to the Nursing Assistant Training Program are required to meet admission requirements. These include:
* High School Diploma or GED
* Photo Identification
* Pennsylvania State Criminal History Check
* FBI Criminal History Check (for those applicants not having resided in Pennsylvania for the past two years)
* Physical Examination with 2 Step Tuberculosis test (PPD)
Just Believe Educational Center recommends the following timeline for pre-admission requirements to be met:
* Three weeks prior to the start of class, first PPD administered and checked within 48 - 72 hours.
* Seven to 10 days following the administration of the first PPD, second PPD administered and checked within 48 - 72 hours. Physical examination and form to be completed by a physician.
Following the successful completion of all program requirements, students are eligible to take the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program Examination. JBEC is also a Pearson Vue test site for JBEC Students. Upon successful completion of both the written and skills portion of these examinations, students are placed on the Pennsylvania State Nurse Aide Registry.
